According to a report published by the city supplement of Hindustan Times newspaper, Tanishaa Mukherhi is the highest paid contestant of the current season of Bigg Boss. She has been drawing Rs 7.7 lakh per week, while her rival Gauahar Khan is the second most paid inmate for her earnings amounting to Rs 6 lakh per week. These women are closely followed by their alleged lovers Armaan Kohli and Kushal Tandon in the pay department.

The whopping pay these contestants are drawing clearly implies that they have already made more than the prize money itself.

According to the newspaper report, the least paid contestants of the show for season 7 are Elli Avram (Rs 75,000 to 1 lakh per week) and Sofia Hayat (Rs 1.5 lakh per week).

Talking to the daily, actor Kamal Rashid Khan, who had been a part of the show earlier, revealed that the person who gets approached by the show makers has an upper hand when it comes to fixing the payment. The contestant who approaches the show for being a part has to settle down with whatever is offered.
