Pallavi Sharda set for Tamil debut
"Besharam" girl Pallavi Sharda has been roped in by filmmaker Gautham Vasudev Menon for his yet untitled Tamil romantic drama. The film also features Silambarasan aka Simbu.
"I wanted a heroine who could give us bulk dates and I know for a fact that all the established actresses are extremely busy, and therefore, I roped in Pallavi. Moreover, when I met her, I liked her confidence and eventually signed her on," Menon told IANS.
Pallavi, who had earlier starred in films such as "My Name is Khan" and "Dus Tola", has already shot for nearly two weeks for the film, which was launched recently.
Menon and Simbu have teamed up for the second time after delivering Tamil blockbuster "Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya" in their first outing.
The new film is expected to be completed by February 2014 as Menon then has a big budget film lined up with actor Ajith Kumar.
Why Aamir felt giddy shooting 'Dhoom 3' track?

While shooting for the Malang track in Dhoom 3, Aamir Khan had to be put on medication to control bouts of nausea. The song was shot at a height of 80 feet and the star had to keep moving mid-air. The constant twirling at such a height made him feel giddy.
Says a source, `It took the team about 15 days to complete the shoot and Aamir was on medication throughout.`
Aamir's spokesperson says, `He had to be put on special medication to be able to perform at ease.`

Ya Jaane Na, Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya and Force. The actress will be seen in Salman Khan-starrer Jai Ho in a cameo role, which will mark her comeback to movies.
It is confirmed that Genelia will only be seen in a couple of scenes in the opening sequence as her character dies. It is a very important and an interesting cameo." Genelia plays Khan's sister in the film. She will be seen as a wheelchair- bound disabled person, according to the source, "As far as I know, there is just one actress who plays disabled in the film. May be someone saw Genelia sitting on her chair, on the sets and thought she was playing that character."

Chennai: Actress-singer Andrea Jeremiah recently recorded a special anthem for the upcoming 11th edition of Chennai International Film Festival (CIFF), scheduled to be held Dec 12-19. The anthem will be released soon.
"We will use this anthem for promotional purpose. Crooned by Andrea and written by southern actress Rohini, the anthem has come out very well and it has music by Prakash. We are planning to release it a few days before the start of the festival," E. Thangaraj, festival director, CIFF said.
As many as 180 films from 58 countries will be screened this year at the fest, which is expected to be attended by actor-filmmaker Kamal Haasan and actress Shabana Azmi.
This year, CIFF has also introduced `Amitabh Bachchan Youth Icon Award` as a token of respect for Big B, who had contributed to the award when he attended the closing ceremony of the fest last year.
"One young talent from the industry will be presented with this award. We will be bringing a special guest to give away this award," he added.
This year, CIFF will put the spotlight on contemporary films from Turkey, Iran and Taiwan. There will also be retrospectives of French filmmaker Claire Denis, Hungarian film director Istvan Szabo and Serbian film director Goran Paskaljevic.
Can't recreate 'Nagada' without Bhansali: Deepika Padukone
Deepika Padukone`s fluid and energy-packed dance in the `Nagada sang dhol` song from `Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela` has been widely appreciated but she doubts if she can recreate the grandeur of the number sans the film`s director Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
She says the song`s popularity was the "least expected of the lot".
"There were other songs in the album which we thought would become popular... this was the underdog," Deepika said.
"In fact, I am doing a show where I am expected to recreate that magic but I don`t think I`ll be able to do that if I don`t have Sanjay to direct," she said.
Deepika is slated to perform at the Temptation Reloaded show in Dubai Sunday with stars like Shah Rukh Khan and Madhuri Dixit.
On the Bollywood front, she has completed Homi Adajania`s English language film `Finding Fanny`.
"It should be ready to release soon.
"I am also doing `Happy New Year` with Abhishek Bachchan and Shah Rukh, all fun boys to work with. I am also looking forward to start Imtiaz`s film with Ranbir," said Deepika, who has been on a roll with her box office successes this year.
Planning a holiday sometime soon now?
"I am sure I can squeeze in some family time, it`s always welcome," said the 27-year-old, who recently made time to attend a friend`s engagement in her hometown Bangalore.

Priyanka Chopra is the first Bollywood actor to become the face of global fashion brand GUESS, and the actor considers it a big deal.
“Being a GUESS girl for me is a really big deal because the most iconic beautiful women have been part of these campaigns. It’s one of the most iconic brands in the world,” the 31-year-old said at a GUESS store where she was unveiled as the new GUESS girl.
“When I went to New York this time, to pick up the magazines and saw Julia Roberts in the front and myself on the back, I was like ‘woah’,” she added.
International singer Bryan Adams shot Priyanka for the campaign and she reveals “When they first told me that Bryan was shooting it, I thought there must be some other person by the same name.”
“I couldn’t think that somebody is so talented to be a singer and a photographer. But then I found out that he has done a lot of campaigns for GUESS. They showed me the pictures of one of their most recent campaigns. And Bryan knew of me and I knew of Bryan. He comes to India so often that he is now half Indian,” Priyanka said.
Priyanka, who went international with her singing talent by launching her first single In my city, had released her second single Exotic a few months back. She is now working on her third song.
On the Bollywood front, she will soon be seen in Yash Raj Films’ new project Gunday with Arjun Kapoor and Ranveer Singh.

‘Bigg Boss 7’: CONFIRMED- Kushal, Gauahar are a couple!
Mumbai: Viewers of ‘Bigg Boss 7’ were in for a treat when they saw Kushal Tandon proposing to his ladylove Gauahar Khan. The TV actor, who re-entered the house a week back, confessed his love for Gauahar on national television.
The lady, who was pleasantly surprised couldn’t refrain from admitting her love for Kushal and accepted his proposal gladly.

Today there is research on which school is good, about the way children are educated, parent interviews-child interviews and then in the end, you get paranoid. I think a child gets basic education at home. The more time you spend with your child is the best thing you can do in terms of education and security. I am little old school in that way.`
Shilpa does not want to miss out on her son Viaan Raj's growing up years. The actress, who currently features as a judge on the dance reality show Nach Baliye 6, plans her schedule in such a manner that she does not spend too many days away from him.
A source says, `Shilpa takes a day off from all her commitments after she completes shooting for the show. Also, if she has to go out of town for work even for a day, she ensures that she takes a couple of days break with him.`
Shilpa says, `Everyday he is saying something new, he is doing something crazy. Now he has got this obsession of going to the beach. I want to spend as much time as I can with him.There is lot to do workwise, but I am doing whatever fits into my comfort zone. He gets up at 8 am and sleeps at 9 pm so with these timings, it doesn't make sense for me to work for long periods now.
Aditi excited about playing small town girl
The "fun" film will "start" soon, she said.
"I won't say much about it and would want to wait for an announcement. It's the kind of role I haven't done before," the 26-year-old said here Wednesday at a fashion show of Spanish designers where she walked the ramp.
"I had played a somewhat similar girl in 'Yeh Saali Zindagi', a desi girl, and now after playing an urban girl in lot of films, I am playing a girl from small town. I am looking forward to it," she added.

'Kal Ho Naa Ho' completes decade, KJo nostalgic

It has been a decade since Karan Johar's hit romantic drama "Kal Ho Naa Ho" released. The filmmaker says he has "indelible" memories attached with the movie, while its lead actor Shah Rukh Khan missed the film's producer, late Yash Johar on the occasion.
The movie, which featured Shah Rukh, Saif Ali Khan, Preity Zinta and Jaya Bachchan in key roles, released Nov 28, 2003.
"'Kal Ho Naa Ho' completes a decade... Har pal yahaan jee bhar jeeyo, jo hai samaa, kal ho naa ho...indelible memories," Karan posted on Twitter.
The film marked the directorial debut of Nikhil Advani, who posted: "'Kal Ho Naa Ho' is 10 years old...Thanks to Karan Johar, Shah Rukh Khan and Yash (Johar) uncle. They were the ones who gave me the chance. Everything else came later."
"Kal Ho Naa Ho" was Yash Johar's last production venture before he died June 29, 2004.

Antara says, `Pritam Da (composer) is someone who gives his singers full freedom to excel and explore.
The songs have turned out well. Sonakshi Sinha is one of the new generation actress I like. It was really nice to sing for her. When I saw the picturised song, I was very happy with the way it has turned out.`

'Boogie Woogie' is Prabhudheva's favorite show
Choreographer-director Prabhudheva is excited about the hit dance show "Boogie Woogie" making a comeback. He says it is his favourite.
"Boogie Woogie", launched in 1996 by actor Javed Jaffrey, his brother Naved and actor Ravi Behl, will return on the small screen soon on Sony Entertainment Television. The new season will see children aged between 6 and 14 competing.
"I have been to 'Boogie Woogie' earlier. It is my favourite show," Prabhudheva, an accomplished actor-director-choreographer, said here Wednesday during the promotion of "R...Rajkumar" on the set of the show.
"R...Rajkumar", directed by Prabhudheva, also stars ace dancer Shahid Kapoor in the lead role. Both of them visited the set of "Boogie Woogie" for their forthcoming film's promotion.
"After so many years, 'Boogie Woogie' is returning. We both (Shahid and I) are very very happy to be here (on the set of the show)," added Prabhudheva, who is also excited about seeing the Javed-Naved-Ravi trio together again.
"It is great to see them there. I am waiting for this show," said Prabhudheva, known for his unique designing style.

An upset and heartbroken Saanchi decides to call off her relationship to keep her family happy, but in the process she ends up hurting Dhruv.
The lawyer dude requests Saanchi’s brother Addu to help him convince her family. However, no one pays heed to his request. When Saanchi returns Dhruv’s ring, he cries and decides to leave Panchgani for good.
He packs his bag and goes to Prabhu Niwas to bid his final goodbye with the hope that Saanchi will stop him. Just as he is leaving, Saanchi realises that she can’t let him go just yet and tries to run behind him and stop him, but Aaji holds on to her hand. After pleading and begging to let her go so she can stop him, Aaji in full DDLJ ishtlye leaves her hand and asks her to go live her life- Oh my god!
Saanchi stops Dhruv and they hug and stop right before kissing each other. Damn! So looks like the couple have cleared the initial hurdle, but there’s a lot more to come. Picture abhi baaki hai mere dost!
'Dhoom 3': Watch Aamir, Katrina’s stunning aerial act in ‘Malang’ promo
Mumbai: Yash Raj Films launched the promo of the ‘Malang’ track from their latest- ‘Dhoom 3’- featuring Aamir Khan and Katrina Kaif.
The caption of the promo reads- “Experience the most spectacular song promo of Malang from the most awaited film, ‘DHOOM:3’”.
The song sung by Siddharth Mahadevan and Shilpa Rao is penned by Sameer Anjaan and composed by Pritam.
The promo shows Aamir and Katrina perform some breathtaking aerial stunts, something the Indian movie goers might have never seen before in a film.
The song is touted to be the most expensive song ever shot. The makers are believed to have invested a whopping Rs 5 crore for shooting the track!
And if the promo alone could be so spectacular, wonder what the song in entirety has in store for all of us.
Salman Khan to appear on 'Koffee With Karan'
Filmmaker Karan Johar, who is getting ready with the new season of his popular talk show `Koffee With Karan`, says the TV programme which will feature Salman Khan for the first time, will be the most exciting yet and offer some great conversations with Bollywood celebrities.
"The new season is going to be the most exciting yet, with a host of new guests, a fantastic set and some great conversations," Karan said here today.
The fourth edition of the show promises a generous serving of fiery revelations and drama with a side of sauciest gossip Bollywood has to offer.
As Karan gets back on the couch with his guests, the very first celebrity of this season is Salman, one-time industry rival of Shah Rukh Khan, Karan`s best friend. Salman has never been a guest on the show before.

Salman Khan has in the past been in a steady relationship with former Miss World Aishwarya Rai, Sangeeta Bijlani, Katrina Kaif. There were rumours of him being in a relationship with Romanian beauty Iulia Vantur but nothing came out of it.
In the recently released teaser of the show, host Karan Johar is seen at his wittiest-best by bombarding superstar Salman Khan with questions that were kept unanswered by him.
It is for the first time that Karan Johar is not opening the show with his good friend and superstar Shah Rukh Khan.

'Dhoom 3' promos have been attracting the audience and their curiosity is being nourished even more with the release of the song 'Malang'. It is being feted as the most expensive song of Bollywood ever and its picturisation is being speculated to cost Rs 5 crore.
Reports even suggest that artists who are seen sharing the stage with Kat and Aamir in the song were specially flown to Mumbai and were trained in just 20 days.
With grand or rather supercalifragilistic set where Kat and Aamir are seen exhibiting their acrobatic skills on a trapeze, the song knitted on a peppy tune is sheer visual as well as aural delight.

Kangna had specially flown the outfit from Paris. A source close to her says, `She wanted to wear a gown, one of those delicate ones, and was particularly keen on this one which had to be worn with a lot of care. So much so that the designer label had sent her instructions on how to drape the satin creation. The gown is apparently worth R5 lakh and was specially made for her.`
The actress and her staff took a lot of time to make her wear it. Even if they tied one drape in the wrong manner, Kangna would have faced a difficult situation on the red carpet. `Nonetheless, since Kangna liked it a lot, she decided to go ahead with her choice,` adds the source.
The actress adds her bit, `I was hesitant to wear the gown as it was just a drape which had to be held with the body postures and had no other support in the back or front. The brand sent it to me from Paris and I liked it a lot.`

Deepika it appears has left behind Katrina Kaif who is now reportedly dating her ex-boy friend Ranbir Kapoor. In an online poll conducted last year by a newspaper titled, 'Most Desirable Women of 2012', Deepika beat Katrina by obtaining the Numero Uno spot. She has also been voted as the World's Sexiest Woman (FHM). In another online poll, Deepika has emerged as the most searched celebrity which at one point was a spot earlier occupied by Katrina Kaif.
‘Bigg Boss 7’: Gauahar Khan made to eat chilli cake in 75 seconds by nasty housemates
New Delhi: On day 72, the Hukumat comprising Tanishaa, Andy, Sangram and Ajaz made the Virodhi team do nasty tasks.
While the members of Virodhi team - Gauahar, Kamya, Kushal and Armaan were sitting in the garden area of the house – the Hukumat team members announced a task that required Gauhar to eat half a kilogram of cake smeared with chilli sauce in 60 seconds. Shocked at the tight deadline for completing the task, Gauahar and her team mates straight forwardly told the Hukumat team that the 60 second deadline is unreasonable.
As a result, the Hukumat team increased the time limit to 75 seconds. Left with no choice, Gauahar reluctantly agreed to do the task. As the task began, it was quite evident that Gauahar was having trouble gobbling down the cake but she sportingly did it. Kushal, who was by Gauahar’s side through the task, kept urging her to water down the cake to make the task easier.
Going by the kind of task given by the current Hukumat team, we feel that it was rather inhumane on their part. Won’t you agree?

Pinkvilla has quoted an article in Open Magazine written by a popular writer and film critic which says that Kareena grabbed the opportunity to pull Ranbir’s leg about his alleged girlfriend Katrina Kaif on National television.
According to the magazine’s write-up, Bebo teasingly told Ranbir, “I’ve got my lehenga ready for your wedding, and I’ve been rehearsing the steps to ‘Sheila ki Jawaani’ and ‘Chikni Chameli’.”
Now, we know that both ‘Sheila ki Jawaani’ and ‘Chikni Chameli’ are Katrina’s songs which means that Kareena is hinting at Ranbir’s nuptials with none other than Kat. All we need to know is that whether Ranbir-Kat are seriously thinking of tying the knot or was it a mere joke on Bebo’s part.
‘Bigg Boss 7’: Armaan’s girlfriend to enter the house?
Mumbai: This season of ‘Bigg Boss’ has been more about love stories, heartaches and love struck couples! Tanishaa and Armaan are believed to have a liking for each other while Gauahar and Kushal have admitted being special to each other.
If the latest buzz is anything to go by, Armaan Kohli’s girlfriend Tanya Singh might enter the house as a contestant, thereby doubling the daily dose of drama.
Vivek Mishra, a nude yoga instructor, who had made an appearance on the show for a few days had spoken about Armaan’s estranged girlfriend. Vivek’s revelation had raised several eyebrows and had triggered problems between the actor and his alleged ladylove Tanishaa.
According to reports, the makers of the show are keen to rope in Tanya. If she is taken on board the popular show, it would be interesting to see Tanishaa’s reaction.
How will Armaan handle the situation? Only time will tell.

Yaami Gautam, who made her Bollywood debut in Shoojit Sircar's romantic comedy Vicky Donor, celebrated her 25th birthday today.
The actress will next be seen in Total Siyappa and her co-star from the film, Ali Zafar wished her and tweeted: ‘Happy b day @YaamiOfficial . An absolute delight to work with.’

'Hrithik is NOT undergoing another surgery'
There have been reports of Hrithik Roshan’s plans to go abroad for medical treatment, and that he would require another brain surgery for his headaches.
Hrithik had undergone a brain surgery in July in Mumbai.
But his father Rakesh Roshan rubbishes the reports of the second surgery.
"Hrithik is going abroad only for a medical check-up, not a surgery," Rakesh Roshan says. "He gets these occasional headaches, and wants to get to the bottom of them once and for all."
Apparently, reports suggesting that Hrithik would need a long layoff from work are not only misplaced but also premature.
Says the concerned father, “Hrithik will be abroad for a week or at the most, two weeks. There is no need to spread alarming reports."
Hrithik had undergone a brain surgery in July after he sustained injuries from an action sequence for his film Bang Bang.

Working with Amole Gupte dream come true for Saqib
"I had seen `Stanley Ka Dabba` and that time I had an agency and I asked them to somehow get me to meet Amole Gupte and I would do any small role in his film. When I got to know that he is making a film, I went to meet him and we did a look test," the 25-year-old said here Tuesday at a special screening of ‘Stanley Ka Dabba’ for underprivileged kids.
"When he told me that `you are doing my film`, I couldn`t believe it at first. But now that the shoot is almost over, it has sunk in that I have done a good film," Saqib added.
The actor plays a young skating coach in ‘Hawaa Hawaai’.
"Our film is about everybody who has a dream and about fulfilling it. I play a 22-23-year-old skating coach. I can`t tell anything more than this, you will understand more when the trailer comes out," the actor said.
Saqib has earlier worked in three film – ‘Mujhse Fraaandship Karoge’, ‘Mere Dad Ki Maruti’ and ‘Bombay Talkies’.
‘Hawaa Hawaai’ is slated to release April 18, next year.

Entertainment to back independent Films targeting a global audience, says he is excited to be part of the changing scenario in the Hindi film industry.
The development and financing outfit will focus on independent films which will aim for broad appeal.
"At one end, traditional films continue to entertain and make business sense. At the other, there is a resounding presence of some new forms and voices making a mark in this ever expanding medium. I am keen to be part of that growth, that change," Ajay said in a statement.
"I am coming forth to support the independent film process where we can share important stories that need to be told -- global stories that will resonate with international audiences," added the actor, who has another production banner titled Ajay Devgn Films Productions.
Shivalaya Entertainment, based in Los Angeles, has given the green signal to its first film ‘Parched’, to be directed by Leena Yadav. The movie is said to be centred on the bitter-sweet journey of women in the parched rural landscape of India.
The newly-formed company will produce films with Brillstein Entertainment Partners executive Jai Khanna, who is also serving as producer on the slate.
Khanna said: “We will also be looking at working on projects with a diversity of talent, American or otherwise, with an aim to reach out to wider audiences."
